About us
Fellows perform state-of-the-art scientific research in a welcoming, structured and mentored environment. Our department is diverse, with opportunities in molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, human physiology, and neuroscience.
Fellows participate in weekly workshops that provide training in a variety of topics including navigating career paths, presenting scientific findings, writing abstracts, personal statements, applying to graduate school and more.
Our mentors receive mentoring training and we provide continued mentorship to fellows after completion of their fellowship (e.g. help with graduate school applications).
Fellows will enjoy a range of networking, social and cultural activities. Housing, food and travel costs are all covered and fellows additionally receive a $6,000 stipend.
Our program is funded by the American Heart Association (AHA) and so all our projects fulfill AHA's mission to be a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives.
