The Bridge to the Doctorate Program (BDP) is a National Science Foundation (NSF) initiative within the LSAMP Program to provide former LSAMP baccalaureate degree graduates with a fellowship for graduate STEM studies. The ultimate goal is to increase the number of minority students that obtain PhD degrees in STEM fields. The program provides support for eligible students from schools in the MS-LSAMP alliance.
The Bridge STEM Program (BSP) is a five-week summer residential program that prepares incoming freshmen (from underrepresented groups) to become successful in STEM related fields at the University of Mississippi. The program is designed to provide these students with an immersion experience illuminating the life of an effective STEM major from an academic and social perspective.
