Academic Level:
Postdoc & Early Career

Description:
Post Doc Opportunity in Neuroscience

A postdoctoral position is immediately available at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory for highly motivated Ph.D. candidates seeking to build a career in Neuroscience. The primary focus of the CSHL Neuroscience program is neural circuits and how disruption of these circuits leads to disorders including autism and schizophrenia.

Post Doc Opportunity in Chemical Biology

A postdoctoral fellow position is available at the Yeh Lab (http://yehlab.labsites.cshl.edu) at CSHL Cancer Center. Qualified candidates interested in signal transduction, translational medicine, drug discovery and chemical biology are encouraged to apply. Graduate students expected to complete a doctorate degree in 2017 or early 2018 are welcome to apply.

This postdoctoral fellow will take responsibility of conducting independent research as well as collaborate with other members in the group. In addition, this postdoctoral fellow will be well exposed to several collaborations between the Yeh Lab and other research groups at CSHL. Potential research projects can be (1) characterizing the mechanisms by which drug candidates modulate the activation/inactivation, dimerization/oligomerization, shedding and internalization of cell surface receptors; (2) developing chemical biology methods/ platforms for biologics/biomimetic drug discovery; (3) developing targeting strategies for targeted therapy or cancer immunotherapy.

Qualified candidate should have a doctorate degree, at the time of appointment, in the fields relevant to biology or chemistry. Required relevant experience/expertise should include any of the following: signal transduction, protein trafficking, microscopic imaging, biochemistry, chemical biology, protein/peptide chemistry, drug discovery or delivery.

Post Doc Opportunity in Computational Biology

The Atwal lab in the new Simons Center for Quantitative Biology (Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory) invites applications from highly motivated candidates for a postdoctoral position working on cutting edge computational biology research. We are looking for quantitative/computational scientists to work at the exciting interface of mathematics, single-cell genomics, and cancer biology...

Post Doc Opportunity in Cellular Science

A postdoctoral fellow position is available in Dr. Lingbo Zhang’s Lab at the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory. The Zhang Lab is interested in understanding how self-renewal of stem and progenitor cell is regulated under both normal and malignant conditions, and how the dysregulation of self-renewal process contributes to cancer maintenance during cancerogenesis and stem cell exhaustion...

Post Doc Opportunity in Cancer Science

The laboratory of Douglas Fearon is seeking an outstanding postdoc fellow for research on the interaction between the immune system and pancreatic cancer. Our laboratory discovered that immune suppression in the tumor microenvironment of an autochthonous model of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma is capable of preventing cancer cell-specific CD8+ T cells from controlling tumor growth.

Post Doc Opportunity in Neuroscience and Disorders

The laboratory of Hiro Furukawa at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory is interested in integrating structural biology, biochemistry, and electrophysiology to understand questions related to basic neuroscience and neurological disorders. We are particularly looking for an electrophysiologist/ neuroscientists with experiences in patch-clamp recording/single channel recording from cultured cells.

Post Doc Opportunity in Cancer Studies

A postdoctoral position is immediately available in the Lab of Kenneth Chang at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory. We are seeking highly motivated Ph.D. candidates in the area of cancer genomics, signal transduction, and tumor biology to study breast and lung cancer and drug resistance in these cancer types. The successful candidate will have access to the latest RNAi/CRISPR technologies.

Post Doc Opportunity in Functional Genetics

Postdoctoral Positions in Molecular Eukaryotic Genetics The Functional Genomic laboratory headed by Thomas Gingeras, PhD. is seeking a motivated postdoctoral fellow trained in the area of molecular mammalian genetics. Successful applicants should possess a PhD degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Genomics or related fields. Applicants should also have proven skills in forward or reverse.

Post Doc Opportunity in Computational Genomics

Postdoctoral Positions in Computational Genomics. Postdoctoral positions are available in Dr. Adam Siepel’s research group in its new location at the Simons Center for Quantitative Biology at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory. The Siepel Group specializes in the development of probabilistic models, algorithms for inference, prediction methods, and application of these methods.

Post Doc Opportunity in Extracting information from Bio Medical articles.

The Simons Center for Quantitative Biology at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory is seeking highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellows in information extraction from the bio-medical literature to join Ivan Iossifov’s group. We are looking to develop a new flexible system for extracting heterogeneous knowledge from medical articles. Rather than solely tagging a specific article for named...

Post Doc Opportunity in Human Genetics

Professor McCombie is seeking highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellows in Statistical Genomics and Human Genetics for his group at the Stanley Institute of Cognitive Genomics, Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory. The Stanley Institute of Cognitive Genomics is a multidisciplinary organization using genomics, computational biology and clinical knowledge to understand the genetic and pathogenesis...

Postdoctoral Cancer Research Training Opportunity

POSTDOCTORAL CANCER RESEARCH TRAINING OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLE COLD SPRING HARBOR LABORATORY Located on the North Shore of Long Island and celebrating its 125th year anniversary, Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (CSHL), has a distinguished record of excellence in biological research and education. CSHL’s NCI Designated Cancer Center has been an integral part of the Laboratory’s research mission
