Postdoc & Early Career

The Postdoctoral Research Associate Program at Savannah River National Laboratory offers high-quality opportunities for recent Ph.D. graduates who want additional research experience in national security, environmental stewardship or clean energy. The appointments are competitive and the research is exciting, innovative and integrative; the research products of SRNL Postdocs advance SRNL's contributions for the Department of Energy's Office of Environmental Management.

The National Security Directorate at Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL) seeks highly qualified candidates for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position in the field of data science, with particular interest in network identification and data visualization.

We are especially interested in enthusiastic candidates that can demonstrate significant experience with a wide range of data science applications. Our Postdoctoral Research Associates have initial one-year appointments, with an option to renew for up to three years, depending on project needs and the continued availability of funding. The salary and benefits are competitive.

We encourage publication of non-classified results of research efforts, and appreciate candidates that can demonstrate their scientific productivity through peer-reviewed publications and novel research approaches to complex problems.

Successful candidates will have relevant data science experience, critical thinking skills, data processing skills, and a demonstrated ability to synthesize these skills into effective experimental design, execution, and reporting.
