About us
DFB organizes a week-long summer short course, at the University of Michigan, aimed at teaching undergraduate students fundamental concepts in developmental biology in a small class setting with close instructor-student mentorship. All costs, including travel and housing, are fully subsidized.
Students will be immersed in the core concepts of developmental biology through interactive lectures and hands-on laboratories. Additionally, throughout the week, students participate in career development workshops and networking opportunities. Collectively, this course provides a unique opportunity for students to be introduced to both developmental biology concepts and biological research as they work closely with our highly dedicated and interdisciplinary team of faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and graduate students.
