The NSF REU:
In each research project students will work closely with a member of our faculty. The projects will be in a wide variety of areas, including high energy physics, accelerator mass spectrometry, condensed matter physics, geophysics, biophysics, nuclear physics and astrophysics.
Each student will receive a stipend of $450 per week. The costs of housing and meals. A travel allowance is available.
The NSF RET:
This effort is intended to enhance high school physics education by allowing teachers to develop new techniques for engaging students, new lab experiments and lecture demonstrations, or other pedagogical components, or to allow participation in current physics research at Purdue. The RET program will be run in conjunction with the NSF Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program at Purdue.
Up to 10 wks in summer - 1,300 per week/travel and housing.
