CO-WY AMP is currently represented by five Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs) and one Native American-Serving, Non-Tribal Institution in Colorado.
The Alliance has been an innovative consortium of institutions increasing the quality of education for underrepresented minorities (URM) in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields and has built an infrastructure for collaborative programs and activities. Over the years, CO-WY AMP has also integrated minority students into college life, initiated early STEM advising and mentoring, enhanced state of the art interventions to increase the number of underrepresented STEM students, and increased communication of effective programming across our partner institutions.
CO-WY AMP also has associations with American Indian tribes (Southern Ute, Ute Mountain Ute, Northern Arapaho and Eastern Shoshone) along with numerous corporations, governmental agencies, professional membership organizations, and community groups. These collaborations continue to provide insight into the ever-changing direction of technology and offer career opportunities and internships to underrepresented minority students.
