Enhancing Undergraduate Experience in Mobile Computing Security

This NSF-funded program seeks to increase undergraduate student participation in research through a 10 week paid experience. Students will work with professors from Computer Information Technology and Computer Science on projects of their choice related to cloud security, mobile device security, and mobile social network security. $5000 stipend, housing and meals are provided as well as participation in various academic, recreational, and cultural events.


• Hands-on research in state-of-the-art facilities

• Seminars, workshops, and field trips

• Group social activities and banquet

• Optional outreach opportunities to high school students


• Undergraduate students majoring in information technology computer science, computer engineering, or related field

• U.S. Citizen or permanent resident

• GPA of 3.0 or higher

• May not enroll in additional academic courses during the summer session

• Minorities and women strongly encouraged to apply


• $5,000 stipend

• Actual travel expenses

• On-campus room and board
