Description:
Explore oncology and focus your future with world-renowned scientists! This program provides in-person, mentored, high-quality, cancer-focused research experiences along with professional development workshops to undergraduate and first-year medical students to prepare them for careers in science, medicine, and other cancer-related fields. When you participate in a summer internship at IU Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center, you'll work directly with a mentor physician or researcher conducting studies in the most progressive areas of cancer research. You'll gain exposure to a wide range of basic science, translational, and clinical research activities - and you'll have great experiences and references to add to your CV.

-Train one-on-one in the lab of an accomplished cancer researcher.

-Network with and learn from other students, clinical and post-doctoral fellows, and faculty.

- Shadowing a physician-scientist mentor in the clinic (medical student trainees only).

-Attend insightful workshops and career development events.

-Receive a stipend payment, housing, and other benefits.

-10 weeklong summer internships.
