Description:
Our ten-week Biochemistry Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (BSURF) Program provides students with hands-on experience in an active research laboratory under the direction of an established scientist. The research involves planning and performing experiments to answer questions of interest in contemporary biochemistry.

BSURF provides students with:

-Full-time, hands-on research conducted in the laboratory of a faculty member in biochemistry

-The opportunity to present findings at the Summer Undergraduate Research Conference. Students present posters and discuss their research projects with the public.

-Enrichment activities, including weekly seminars and workshops on graduate school and careers in science

-Planned social outings

-A $4,250 stipend

-Lodging in a University housing facility.
