About us
The program is designed for students interested in STEM fields who are early in their undergraduate career and are from marginalized communities including ethnically, culturally, economically, and academically who may lack access to mentorship, as well as information about graduate school opportunities and the application process. We hope this initiative will encourage these students to continue on to graduate training in STEM and/or research at UPenn by guiding them through the application process, allowing them to explore different and/or interdisciplinary STEM fields within their interest, and connecting them with mentors, faculty, and current Penn students. This two-day open house will consist of informative workshops, research talks from Penn faculty members, and opportunities to network 1-on-1 with Penn professors and graduate students.
Travel-related expenses will be covered for participants accepted to the program. Housing and meals will be provided for the duration of the program. Program materials (including workshop content) will be available on our website for everyone.
Please visit our website to fill out the application. US citizens and permanent residents currently studying at institutions in the US or US territories interested in pursuing a MS, MA, and/or PhD degree are welcome to apply. We look forward to receiving your application!
