Description:
As the most prestigious postdoctoral award in Canada, the Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships Program provides the opportunity to bring top talent to join the research community at UBC. Fellowships are awarded to the very best postdoctoral researchers, both nationally and internationally, who will positively contribute to Canada's economic, social and research-based growth. These prestigious two-year fellowships, worth $70,000 per year, are open to researchers who have recently completed a PhD, PhD- equivalent or health professional degree. Current postdoctoral students can apply; please consult eligibility.

Fellowship Objective

Attract and retain top-tier postdoctoral national and international talent.

Fellows must:

-Be in the top 5% of their field: exceptional research productivity, recognized as emerging leaders, and poised to launch an international, research-intensive career.

-Express synergistic qualities with the proposed UBC supervisor, UBC?s strategic plan and campus-specific research strategy (Vancouver or Okanagan).

-Meet all current Banting eligibility criteria.

-Be available to start at UBC between April 1 and October 1, 2016 for a two-year post.

-Be aware of UBC?s internal selection process and timelines.

-If nominated, work in close collaboration with the proposed supervisor and UBC prior to application sub-mission.

Timelines

UBC internal deadline: Monday, 8, 2015, 10:00 AM PST, NO EXCEPTIONS.

UBC nominee selection: June 30, 2015.

Banting deadline: Wednesday September 23, 2015
