Academic Level:
Postdoc & Early Career

With the rise of Big Data, VARI recognizes the need for specialized fellowships focused on bioinformatics and biostatistics. Like a traditional postdoctoral fellowship, bioinformatics fellows at the Institute receive dedicated mentorship from the Institute’s accomplished principal investigators but work on projects aimed at gleaning meaningful results from large, complex datasets. Their work is supported by the Institute’s robust high-performance computing system and extensive data storage capabilities.

How to apply

Interested in a postdoctoral fellowship at VARI? We are always accepting applications. Please contact the investigator directly for more information on opportunities to join the team. A list of VARI’s labs and investigators may be found on their website. Specific postdoctoral fellowship openings also are available in the Careers section on the website.

All postdocs at VARI are full-time employees at the Institute and, as such, receive a competitive salary and benefits package, including health insurance and 401(k) opportunities.p>Salary

Salary is determined based on M.D./Ph.D. receipt date according to a set salary schedule, which begins at $47,500 up to a maximum of $54,000. Based on faculty approval, salary increases may be provided annually on or near the anniversary of hire.
