Immediate opening for a post-doctoral research scientist position in Statistical Genetics at Washington University in St Louis The Division of Biostatistics at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis seeks applications for a post-doctoral research scientist position. We are looking for highly motivated candidates with a Ph.D. in quantitative sciences and a research interest in genetic epidemiology/ statistical genetics. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in statistical genetics, including GWAS analysis methods, statistical analysis of rare variants, and strong computer programming skills. The successful candidate will participate in several projects, including: 1) Gene-Environment Interactions in the Longitudinal Framingham Heart Study; 2) Rare Variants for Hypertension in Taiwan Chinese; and 3) A Multi-Ethnic Study of Gene-Lifestyle Interactions in Cardiovascular Traits. The candidate will perform statistical genetic data analysis using the latest methodologies for genetic and environmental dissection of complex cardio-metabolic disease traits, and lead publications. The candidate will have the opportunity to develop an exciting research program related to statistical genetics and cardio-metabolic diseases. Salary will be commensurate with training and relevant research experience.
