The University of Minnesota’s Summer Institute in Biostatistics (MN -SIBS) is a six-week, all expenses paid, biostatistics immersion program for undergraduates who have an interest in mathematics, statistics, computing, science or public health research.

The upcoming MN-SIBS summer program is located on the East Bank of The University of Minnesota Campus in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Minneapolis is known as “The City of Lakes” with 22 lakes within the city limits. Celebrated for its beautiful chain of lakes, the city also boasts a thriving downtown, strong arts community complete with an outstanding theater district. If that is not enough, Minneapolis is considered one of the top-notch medical device and life-sciences research centers of the world.

Our full-time six week program will provide you with a foundation in biostatistics, epidemiology and statistical computing for which you will receive 4 semester credits.

Travel, housing, tuition, meals and extracurricular activity costs are all covered by the program!
