About us
Research opportunities: experimental, computational, and theoretical projects in biological physics, hard condensed matter, soft matter, micro and nano technologies, optics and imaging, quantum computation, and statistical physics.
Science policy activities: Many grand challenges facing society have a significant scientific component. Addressing problems like climate change, rising energy demands, and nuclear proliferation requires sustained communication between scientists and policy makers. Participants will engage with a variety of scientists working in the policy arena to learn about how science and scientists contribute to public policy.
Stipend: Participants receive a $6000 stipend, housing in a residence hall on campus, and up to $500 for travel expenses.
