GAANN Fellowships in Resilient and Sustainable Infrastructure

Click Here to Learn More and Apply!

Academic Level:
Graduate Students (PhD)

Our national infrastructure is inadequate to meet our present and future needs, with an estimated cost of $3.6 trillion by 2020 - even without strategic adaptation to manage urbanization, climate change, and other stressors. Changing paradigms in infrastructure design require us to build smarter systems that are responsive to users and make full use of increasingly limited resources. The work to design these systems will require a new kind of engineering education to support the technical workforce!

We seek to fill eight fully-paid PhD-level GAANN fellowship slots. Fellows will receive full tuition and annual stipend of up to $34,000 for the full duration of the PhD stuides, in addition to individualized research mentorship and inquiry-based instructional training.
