Description:
The Institute for Shock Physics (ISP) is excited to announce the ISP Director?s Fellowship for graduate students at Washington State University (WSU). This fellowship provides exciting research opportunities, including access to national laboratories, with the following support:

-Salary: $34,000 per year

-University Fee Reimbursement: $2,000 for the academic year

-Health Insurance: Estimated at $3,277 per year

-Tuition Waiver: Estimated at $12,666 for the academic year

This award is for outstanding incoming graduate students who make a commitment to doing their Ph.D. dissertation research in shock wave or dynamic compression science.

Minimum qualifications:

-A bachelor's degree in physics, chemistry, materials science, mechanical engineering, or a related field

-An excellent academic record and the desire to develop strong hands-on experimental skills in dynamic high-pressure research

-Admission to a WSU academic department in the physical sciences or engineering is required.
