Description:
This intensive summer research program provides the opportunity to actively engage in biomedical research and provide a comprehensive mentoring experience. Students with an interest in a career in biomedical sciences or as a physician-scientist are encouraged to apply. This program focuses on a desire to build diversity in the biomedical sciences.

Through this program, students have the opportunity to conduct an 8-week research project in the following areas:

-Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine

-Cancer Cell Biology

-Cellular and Integrative Physiology

-Clinical and Translational Science

-Immunology and Microbial Pathogenesis

-Neuroscience

-Pathophysiology, Rehabilitation and Performance

-Pharmaceutical and Pharmacological Sciences

-*Specialization in an MD/PhD Physician Scientist Pathway is also available.

The program includes:

-Competitive stipend ($4,500)

-Housing on-campus

-Travel assistance

-Professional development workshops

-Opportunity to present your research.
